No Power On Arrival

Power (240v main service) was off at time of inspectors arrival, (start time scheduled) for inspection.

Other than power / electricity being a main component of the home, the lack of electricity in the home is a major limiting factor to the inspection process.

Inspectors carry a wide array of lighting but it is still more difficult and time consuming to see all aspects of, many areas of the structure, and the components within. Testing appliances, and any other components are also greatly limited. Testing of wiring for heat discrepancies are also unavailable.

Peace of Mind Home Inspections is not liable for any missed portions of the inspection process due to non powered dwelling.

We would like to put forth our understanding that scheduling in most real estate transactions is of time constraints. Rescheduling inspection or return trips for further inspection may not be available for your desired time.

Peace of Mind also reserves the right to return trip inspection fees in the case of further inspection desired.

In the case of follow up inspection of unavailable components the fee is set at 25% of the original inspection price scheduled.

Lastly, we, at Peace Of Mind want to extend to you our understanding and sympathy that this is often out of your control. We will do our utmost to fit you into the next desired time slot available of your desire.

To ensure the highest quality of service and safety of the inspectors / clients any temps below -20 (without windchill) and over -30 with windchill may be rescheduled if the inspector desires and contingency timeline has time to reschedule.

We understand that things can come up with life and real estate transactions.

We require a 24 hour notice for cancellation. If the cancellation is provided 24 hours before the start of the inspection, we will cancel the inspection with no inspection fees.

If the radon test has already been started, we cannot waive the fee since our subcontractor will be billing us for the full test.

If the sewer scope has not been performed yet, we can cancel the fee. If it has already been preformed the full fee applies.

If the inspection has already been paid for via credit card, the credit card fee fees are nonrefundable

If the cancellation is within 24 hours it will be difficult to schedule another Home Inspection to fill the Home Inspector's time slot a 50% cancellation fee will be billed.

In the event a refund is requested management would be happy to take a look at the situation. Please do not change the condition of any of the components or items in question.

If a refund is granted our insurance requires that proper paperwork and standard Internachi release are signed prior to the refund being issued.

Checks are cut every other week and once the paperwork and approval are submitted, the payment will be mailed out with the next pay period.
